Equine Acupressure Practitioner (Animal Acupressure)

Equine Muscle Management (Levels 1-3)

I currently live just outside Sadberge, Darlington, less than 5 minutes from the A66.

I started my healing journey in 1994, eventually deciding to get properly qualified in 2002.  Since then, I became interested in Tai Chi, and became so enthused by the benefits of such a gentle exercise, that I decided to qualify as an instructor in that too.  My interest in chinese medicine, combined with the role of carer for 3 horses led to me qualifying as an Equine Acupressure Practitioner in 2011, and that, in turn, led to the study of the Equine Muscle Management system (now called Horse Muscle Care), used to release tension in equine bodies and promote healing.

I currently work with Northumbria Healers, and juggle the healing practice in with Tai Chi teaching in Stockton and Darlington, Acupressure sessions for horses, and caring for our own menagerie at home which usually includes a foster dog from Dogs Trust Darlington, in addition to our own beloved hound.

The understanding of traditional chinese medicine has certainly enhanced both the healing practice and the tai Chi instruction I provide.

My understanding of the 'energy body' and energy medicine such as Homeopathy and Bach Flower remedies has led to me becoming a strong advocate for these complementary therapies, which I use regularly for myself, family and our animals.
